Overview

Professor Gardner is the Vice President for Research at Stony Brook University where he oversees the University's research, innovation, and economic development functions. His academic research has been centered around environmental engineering and science, particularly the behavior of contaminants in aquatic environments, the release of contaminants in post-industrial byproducts and wastes, and interdisciplinary sustainability science and engineering.
