Responsibilities & Requirements
Responsibilities for the positions include developing an externally-funded research
program, pursuing high impact scholarly research, developing and teaching undergraduate
and graduate courses, advising and guiding students, and engaging various constituencies.
The ability to pursue interdisciplinary activities and attract sponsored research
is essential. The successful candidate must have earned a doctorate in Civil Engineering
or a closely related field, a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching,
and the ability to establish and sustain an externally funded research program. A
professional engineer's license or the potential to obtain one is highly preferred.
