Required Qualifications
Doctorate in composition or comparable experience/artistic distinction. Creative
work of high caliber. Experience teaching music.
Preferred Qualifications
Collegiate experience teaching composition. Collegiate experience teaching analysis
and theory.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Maintain an active compositional career as demonstrated by productivity as a composer,
performances, and recordings. The faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate
courses in music composition, theory, analysis and in other possible areas of interest.
Responsibilities will also include advising graduate students and departmental and
university service.
Special Notes
This is a tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime
provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2018.
