Assistant/Associate Professor
Required Qualifications
MD or MD/Ph.D. Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and Board Certified/Eligible
in Cardiovascular Diseases and Cardiac Electrophysiology. Proven experience and expertise
in advanced ablation techniques for atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia
with a demonstrated commitment to innovative clinical research.
Responsibilities & Requirements
The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Medicine is looking to hire a clinical
electrophysiologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to perform advanced
ablation techniques for artrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. Stony Brook
University Medical Center is a >600 bed tertiary care medical state-of-the-art facility,
located on the north shore of Long Island, providing cardiovascular care to the 1.4
million residents of Long Island. Long Island provides a variety of living environments
ranging from a cosmopolitan style/big city amenities to suburban/small town feel with
top notch school systems and quality of life.
Special Notes
Tenure/Non-Tenure Track. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions
of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible. To qualify for appointment as an Associate Professor, the candidate
must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure ).
