Clinical Assistant Professor
Required Qualifications
MD with Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Adult Psychiatry. New York State
license eligibility. Ability to provide cross-coverage, including some evening, night
and weekend shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
Clinical experience in a Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program or other emergency
psychiatric setting. Track record of research/teaching experience in Emergency Psychiatry.
Interest/training in Child Psychiatry.
Responsibilities & Requirements
A clinician is needed to serve as an Attending Psychiatrist in our Comprehensive Psychiatric
Emergency Program. Shifts totaling 40 hours per week with cross-coverage as necessary.
The Clinical Assistant Professor will be responsible for psychiatric evaluation, and
management of patients in CPEP/ED of University Hospital. The Clinical Assistant Professor
will also be responsible for teaching and supervision of medical students and residents.
Special Notes
This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime
provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
