Responsibilities & Requirements
The Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry will serve as a Clinical Psychologist
in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Department of Stony Brook University
Hospital. The outpatient clinic is located in the newly renovated Putnam Hall on the
South Campus of Stony Brook University. The outpatient program includes a team of
ten attending staff and twelve residents/fellows who provide medication management
and therapy services to patients with a wide-range of diagnoses in the pediatric population,
including patient in the autism spectrum disorder clinic and specialty pediatric clinics.
Responsibilities include direct patient care, including diagnostic evaluations, follow-up
care, and teaching sand supervision of medical students, residents and fellows. Shifts
totaling 40 hours per week. There are also opportunities for clinical research.
