Responsibilities & Requirements
The Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry will serve as a Clinical Psychologist
in the Adult Psychiatry Outpatient Department at Stony Brook University Hospital.
The outpatient clinic is located in the newly renovated Putnal Hall on the South Campus
of Stony Brook University. The outpatient program includes a team of ten attending
staff and twelve residents/fellows who provide medication management and therapy services
to patients with a wide-range of diagnoses. Responsibilities include direct patient
care, including diagnostic evaluations, follow-up care, and teaching and supervision
of medical students, residents and fellows. Shifts totaling 40 hours per week. There
are also opportunities for clinical research.
