                        showcasing rotating art and history exhibitions, such as the award-winning SOMOS/WE ARE: Latinx Artists of Long Island (2023) and Musical Masterworks: John Monteleone's Guitars and Other Instruments (2024). Step back in time and learn about the world before cars in our world-class
                        Carriage Museum, featuring the finest collection of American horse-drawn transportation
                        artifacts in the world! Then, wander through our beautiful 9-acre campus, filled with
                        captivating art installations, a tranquil fountain garden, and historic buildings,
                        including a one-room schoolhouse, a blacksmith shop, and an 18th-century barn.

In 1920, August Heckscher, Industrialist, Real Estate Developer, and Philanthropist,
                     dedicated the Heckscher Museum of Art's beaux-arts building, his personal art collection,
                     and the surrounding 18.5-acre park to "the people of Huntington, especially the children."
                     Today, the Museum is known throughout the Long Island Community as a premier cultural
                     and educational resource that houses a distinguished permanent art collection, presents
                     major exhibitions, and offers educational programs for individuals of all ages on
                     European and American art, from the Renaissance to the present.

National Maritime Historic Landmark. Museum, tower and gift shop. Tours of 20 or more
                     are welcomed all year. Admission price includes museum, gift shop and tower climb
                     as well as a 28 minute video. This is the oldest lighthouse on Long Island, and also
                     the oldest in New York State, completed in 1796 on a spot where the Royal Navy had
                     maintained signal bonfires for its ships during the American Revolution. Located at
                     the easternmost tip of Long Island.
