GivePulse is a social impact platform supporting over 10 million volunteers, nonprofits, institutions, associations, businesses and organizations. GivePulse makes it easy for students and student groups to get involved with local organizations and connect with their communities while tracking the impact they make along the way.

• What Can You Find on Givepulse?
  1. In-person, remote, and hybrid ongoing volunteer positions with nonprofit organizations or campus organizations across Long Island, New York City, and beyond.
  2. Single-day volunteer events to participate in.
• What Is the Benefit of Using Givepulse for Students?

  Students using GivePulse to track their community engagement can download an “Impact Summary” that functions as a transcript of your experiences. This is a great document to showcase your community involvement such as volunteering and/or fundraising. Students can share their Impact Summary on graduate school applications, scholarship and award applications, job applications, and more. 

• How Can You Get Started?

  Students

  Log into GivePulse using your NetID. Then use the “Explore” page to find volunteer opportunities, service events, and nonprofit groups. Register for these events and track your impact across a range of community engagement types including service hours, funds raised, goods donated, and more. 

   

  Student Groups

  When you post an event using the “Service” theme on SB Engaged, your members can claim community service hours for that event on GivePulse. Log into GivePulse using your NetID to start managing your organization’s page. Through GivePulse, student groups can track service event registrations and record their members’ impact. You can maintain a group page to track total member engagement while individual students maintain an individual profile and portfolio of their community engagement activities.

   

  Nonprofit Organizations

  GivePulse will provide a free account to your organization. You can list unlimited opportunities and events, interact with student volunteers, and verify attendance. Please contact CSLCS staff to inquire about becoming a Stony Brook University affiliate on GivePulse.  

   

  Faculty and Staff

  Log into GivePulse using your NetID. On GivePulse, you have the ability to create a course, promote events to students, create events, and more. Learn more about service learningand contact CSLCS staff for additional support.
