Joining the EFA

Retiring faculty who are approved to become emeritus/emerita/emeriti faculty are automatically added to the Emeritus Faculty Association.

Emeritus faculty retain library, parking, and institutional email (@stonybrook.edu domain) privileges for life. They are also invited to the Association's monthly meetings and will receive its monthly newsletter.

Association Meetings

The Assocation meets the first Friday of the month during the academic year.

Meetings include:

Guest speakers, usually current Stony Brook faculty who talk about their research and scholarship
A chance to connect with former colleagues and share news

Members and their significant others are encouraged to attend. All meetings are held via Zoom.
