Madison Buddine
Major: History and Psychology BA
Junior
I am a Junior studying both History and Psychology. Throughout my Sophomore year, I worked closely with my mentor, Prof. Shobana Shankar, on my current research which revolves around international refugee responsibility schemes and the effects of global interventions on securing refugee rights. I received an Undergraduate Research Fellowship from the Department of History which I used to conduct archival research at the United Nations. Additionally, in April 2025, I presented my research project, "Historicizing the Safety of Rwanda Bill: Africa and International Refugee Systems" at Humanities Research Day and the History Department's URECA Conference. I am also looking forward to serving as an Undergraduate TA in the History Department this Fall, 2025.
