Wendy Calderon is a sophomore double majoring in mathematics and applied math & statistics. She is a Simons STEM Scholar (S2) and currently serves as Vice President of the SIAM Student Chapter. Wendy is especially interested in computational math and modeling, and recently worked on a project building a mathematical model for deforestation in Argentina. Last semester, she participated in the Directed Reading Program (DRP) in Math, and is excited to be a BLISS peer mentor for the upcoming academic year!
