Lending Library
We have a collection of books and other media on topics ranging from writing strategies
to diversity in higher education, as well as poetry and essay collections written
by alumni of our programs.
If you are interested in borrowing an item, or perusing the collection, check it out
here!. You will need to first become a ‘patron’ of the library if it is your first time
checking out an item. All instructions for browsing the library, becoming a patron,
and checking out an item are below, as well as on the homepage of the library. We recommend keeping this tab open while navigating the library for the first time.
Looking for items in the library?
You can search for a specific item by entering the title or author. If you would like to browse the full collection, please follow the instructions below:
- Click the down arrow next to the search bar and then click Advanced Search.
- On the Advanced Search page, scroll down to Limit by and under Collection select Your library.
- Now you can browse the collection. We recommend that you sort by Tags rather than Genre or Language, as Tags have been currated by the CIE.
Interested in checking out an item?
To become a patron (this is free!) and check out books, go to the item you are interested in and click on 'Ask about this'. Please be sure to provide your full name and email, and enter your affiliation to the CIE in the comment section.
After we have recieved your request, we will set you up with a patron account, and send you an email with the information you need to place a hold on the item.
