Sources and Reporting Tools

Being an engaged journalist or media professional means knowing where and how to find sources from different backgrounds, and with different experiences. It also means knowing how to be a culturally-sensitive, ethical reporter.

A Note about Software: Your reporting and storytelling abilities are what will get you jobs and internships, not the equipment that you use. Many professional journalism organizations use smartphones instead of thousand-dollar cameras and free or inexpensive software as well.
