Renee M. Moadel ’87, MD, MSc

Nuclear Medicine Physician Department of Radiology Montefiore Medical Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine

Dr. Renee M. Moadel is an Attending Physician in the Department of Radiology at Montefiore Medical Center, Associate Professor of Nuclear Medicine and Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and the Program Director for the Nuclear Medicine residency.

A member of the Montefiore team since 2002, she specializes in PET-CT, Theranostics, and pediatric nuclear medicine, with particular clinical interest in the treatment of thyroid, liver, neuroendocrine and prostate cancers. Her research spans a wide range of topics including sarcoma, pulmonary embolism, infection imaging, liver cancer and prostate cancer.

She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, books, and review articles, and remains committed to advancing nuclear medicine through both research and teaching.

In recognition of her excellence in medical education, Dr. Moadel received the Leo M. Davidoff Society Award for Teaching in Internal Medicine from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1998. She earned both her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Clinical Research from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine.

She is a 1987 alumna of the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, where she earned a double major in computer science and electrical engineering.
