Join us for an in-person lecture by the renowned Russian politician and journalist. Vladimir Kara-Murza was jailed for "high treason" for denouncing the war in Ukraine, kept in solitary confinement, and released in a prisoner exchange in 2024. Kara-Murza won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary for his columns written from his prison cell and published in The Washington Post.
Refreshments will be served at 5:30 P.M. and the lecture will begin at 6:00 P.M. at the Charles B. Wang Center at Stony Brook University. The event is free and open to the public.
